The Sims 4: Get To Work introduced three new interactive careers, including the doctor career. One of the daily tasks of The Sims 4 doctor career is to diagnose illnesses and treat patients. The doctor career is one of the additional careers that came with The Sims 4: Get To Work, which allowed players to follow their sims to work and play through the career themselves. The early stages of the doctor career will require you to research and check patients in. It isn’t until level three that you'll start examining patients properly.

Misdiagnosing a patient can severely lower your work performance, luckily you can pass your findings along to a senior doctor during the mid-levels of the career. By the time you progress in the upper ranks, you should be able to identify illnesses based on the distinct symptoms they present.

The Sims 4 Doctor Career: All Illnesses And Symptoms

The following are some of the symptoms your sim patient may present with, and which illnesses they may be attributed to. Make sure you play on a reduced speed as some sim's idle animations may reveal more clues to their illnesses. You can also narrow down the possible illnesses it can be by taking swab samples and making the patients perform tests. This will reduce the possible diagnoses you can choose from the doctor menu.

The patient may exhibit one or many of the following symptoms:

Bloaty Head

  • Headache
  • There may be a faint red circle around their head.
  • The patient will rub their head
  • Steam coming out of ears

Sweaty Shivers

  • Steam coming out of ears
  • orange or green spots on the patient's body.
  • Itchiness (sim may have the idle animation of scratching themselves)
  • Thought bubble above sim showing a thermometer.

 

Vaccination

Gas-and-Giggles

  • Sims will have idle animations of laughter and farting.
  • They may also have the animation of rubbing their bellies.
  • May wipe their brows or show the thermometer thought bubble.
  • Tiger stripe rash.

Starry Eyes

  • Flashing stars circling their heads.
  • A rash in form of swirls on their bodies.
  • Swiping the air around them.

  • Orange or green spots.
  • Sneezing or coughing.

Vaccination

Itchy Plumbob

  • Laughing
  • Itchiness
  • Rash of either stripes or spots

Triple Threat

  • Dizzy with stars above the head
  • Sneezing and coughing
  • Itchiness
  • Any type of rash, stripes, spots, or swirls.

  • Idly animation of sims rubbing their bellies.
  • Steam from ears.
  • Thought bubble containing a bottle of Pepto.
