Sims 4 Career Cheats
Sims 4 career cheats are an easy way of getting to the top of the corporate ladder without any effort. In The Sims 4, job progression can be difficult if you send your sim to work in a bad mood or without achieving specific skills, which may impact your work performance. Whether it's for easier gameplay or story-telling purposes, here is a list of career cheats you can use to instantly rise in the ranks of the employment world.

The Sims 4: How To Enable Cheats

To use any cheat in The Sims, you must enable cheats in your game. To do this, summon the cheat box by pressing CTRL + Shift + C if on PC, or by pressing in all four triggers if playing on console. For Mac users, it is Command + Shift + C.
Once the box appears in the top-left corner of the screen type the following:
testingcheats true
This will enable the use of cheats in your game, by typing additional commands into the box.

The Sims 4: Career Promotion Cheats

To promote yourself in your career first, make sure you're employed in the correct profession. Next, type 'careers.promote' and add on the profession of choice. The cheat will promote you once, so if you want to max out the career, you'll have to repeat the cheat. Alternatively, if you swap out 'promote' to 'demote' your sim will be demoted in their career. For example 'careers.demote Activist' will demote your sim a rank in the activist career.

If you wish to share success with your sim children, the following are cheats to increase school grades.
- promote Gradeschool (raises a child’s school performance)
- promote Highschool (raises a teen’s school performance)
- demote Gradeschool (lowers a child’s school performance)
- demote Highschool (lowers a teen’s school performance)

For all other career cheats, see listed below.
- add_career (careername) – Employs your Sim to that career
- remove_career (careername) – sim will quit the career
- retire (careername) – sim will quit their job and receive a pension every week
- modify_career_outfit_in_cas {SimID} – This changes the career outfit your sim will go to work in.
To use the modify career outfit cheat you'll need access to your Sim ID, which is a long number unique to your sim. To find this, enter the following cheat:
sims.get_sim_id_by_name (full name of your sim)
