Overwatch 2 custom game codes allow you to play the game in new and interesting ways. Overwatch 2 has custom games, which have unusual rules and ways to play. Custom game codes are how you access particular game modes, but you need to know how to use them. Here is everything you need to know to enter custom game codes in Overwatch 2.

The process of entering an Overwatch 2 custom game code is a bit finicky. In order to enter a code, the first thing you need to do is go to the Play menu. Now click on Custom Games, then click the Create button. When your new custom game screen comes up, click on Settings.

On the right side of the screen, you will see Summary, with several buttons underneath it. Highlight the second of these buttons and you will see it is the Import Code button. Press it, then enter a custom game code into the text box. This will import the related game mode, allowing you to set up your own games of that mode.

If you haven't tried out custom games before, they are essentially modes in which the rules of the game are entirely different. Players can create their own new modes, and come up with entirely new ways to play the game.

For example, Genji Ball is a mode where all players play as Genji, and use his reflect ability to send a death ball back and forth like a deadly game of tennis.

To play a game like Genji Ball, you can either find an ongoing game in the Custom Games list, or you can start your own. To do this, you need to input a Genji Ball custom game code (such as A95F5), and start your own match.

That is it for how to enter custom game codes in Overwatch 2. For more on the game, check out our Overwatch 2 rank distribution explainer.
