Is Workshop Available In Overwatch 2?

Unfortunately, at this current time, the Workshop is not available in Overwatch 2. Blizzard hasn't given any information regarding its release date, but it has confirmed that it will be returning at a later date.

The good news is that any codes created within the first Overwatch will be able to be used in Overwatch 2 once the game mode returns, meaning that you won't have to redo all of your work. This is great for any particularly complicated custom games, as the effort required to reproduce them exactly would have otherwise been quite significant.

You can thankfully still create and share Workshop codes that just use the custom game parameters, and of course, the standard Custom Game mode is still available to play. However, any of the more complex mechanics or systems afforded by the intricate controls of the Workshop will not be able to be used, as Blizzard is still working on importing that to the new game.

Furthermore, any codes created within the Overwatch 2 beta will, unfortunately, need to be reproduced. If you did any complex work there you might be out of luck. This could potentially change when the mode makes its way to the game properly, but we wouldn't hold out too much hope.
