The Minecraft Warden is a daunting enemy that many players have been cautiously excited for. The Warden is a hostile mob type that was due to arrive in Minecraft back in the Caves and Cliffs Part 1 update, but now that Caves and Cliffs Part 2 is out in the wild, has the Warden arrived to terrorise players? We've got answers to all of your questions over the Minecraft Warden including what the Warden is and when they arrive in the game.

Minecraft Warden: What Is The Warden?

The Minecraft Warden is yet another hostile mob that will join the likes of the Endermen, Zombies, and Creepers. However, where this one differs is in its tracking abilities. The Minecraft Wardens don't spot you out with sight, instead they use their antenna-like sensors to seek out vibrations. This will undoubtedly make for some intense situations, where the likes of snowballs or arrows will have to be used to draw the Warden away. The Warden is so powerful that fighting it really isn't an option, so you are always best to sneak away. Just avoid, avoid, avoid.

Minecraft Warden: Is The Warden In Minecraft 1.18?

Minecraft Warden was originally supposed to be a part of Caves and Cliffs Part 2.

The Minecraft Warden was originally scheduled to launch back in the 1.17 update earlier this year, however it was delayed and many thought that it would arrive with Minecraft 1.18. Sadly, that is not the case as the Warden has been delayed once again, and now won't arrive in the game until 2022 with the 1.19 update, otherwise known as Deep Dark. At this point, Deep Dark doesn't have any set release date outside of the blanket 2022 term, however it is already shaping up to be a stacked update with ancient cities arriving.

It is a shame that the Minecraft Warden is missing from this update, especially considering the expansion of underground caves. The Warden could have made for some especially nerve-wracking underground mining expeditions.
