Knowing how to make concrete in Minecraft is a pretty simple process, even if it sounds complicated to start. Minecraft concrete is a block that is formed when concrete powder of any colour comes into contact with water. It’s mined with a pickaxe, so the best tactic to making concrete fast in Minecraft is putting your pickaxe in one hand and a stack of concrete powder in the other, sit in the one-block high corner of a nearby lake or ocean and hold down both mouse click buttons (or triggers if you’re on console) until they’re all transformed into regular concrete.

There are also farms that can be built to suit the creation of concrete, often using TNT - here’s YouTuber ShulkerCraft’s tutorial on how to build one.

But, you’re going to need concrete powder first in order to get this done.

Concrete powder can be crafted by fashioning gravel and sand in a stair-like shape in the crafting bench, with dye of any colour in the top left corner. This is how it looks in the crafting table.

Concrete is a versatile block, and if you know how to use it in Minecraft, there’s no doubt that you can use it to make some incredibly inspired builds. Since there are 16 different colour dyes, you have plenty to consider when learning how to make concrete in Minecraft. The only downside is that despite concrete having an incredibly high blast resistance in real life, Minecraft concrete is much weaker, so don't rely on it for reinforcement.

Now you know everything there is to know about how to make concrete in Minecraft, why not learn about Minecraft axolotls?
