Many players have found the Elden Ring Slumbering Wolf Shack but have been left confused as to what to do next. Elden Ring, like previous Fromsoftware games, like to employ some mystery in its side quest design. Encountering Latenna in the Slumbering Wolf Shack is just one such mysterious moment. Her is everything you need to know about Elden Ring Slumbering Wolf Shack: How To Unlock Latenna Spirit Summon.

Part of the confusion with this particular side story comes from the fact that many players are accidentally discovering part two before part one. This may be intentional, so players will know where to come back to once they later find the beginning of the side quest. Regardless, let’s save you some time and start at the beginning.

Once you reach Liurnia, you need to head to the southwest corner of the region. From the Liurnia Lake Shore site of grace, follow the cliff west. Along the cliff you will find a cave, put a pin in that for now. Keep going until you see a massive structure of rock ahead of you. Go underneath it and you will see a swampy lake. Stick to the southern wall on your left, go up the hill and you will find yourself in the Village of the Albinaurics.

There is a site of grace here in an old shack. Activate it, then head east further up the hill. You will encounter a mage who uses a lot of large area fire spells. Deal with him, then check the pots in the corner behind him. Roll into them and you will reveal a man called Albus hiding among them. Speak with him and he will give you part of a medallion, and ask you to bring it to another Albinauric named Latenna.

Now you need to head back to that cave in the cliff. The cave entrance leads to the Lakeside Crystal Cave which is a dungeon, and a dark one at that. Bring a torch or at least equip a lantern, as there are many enemies in the dark waiting to jump you. Head down along the ledge, being careful of enemies attacking from the dark, and look down to the right. The way forward is to jump down from one ledge to the next. Carefully make your way down the ledges to the bottom, then onwards through the cave.

You will encounter large, crystalline snail-like creatures who will fire crystal projectiles at you. Dispatch the snails as you progress, and you will soon find yourself in the boss room. This boss, the Bloodhound Knight, is a fast-moving monstrous knight who attacks with a bleed-damaging sword. Be careful not to let it hit you too many times, as bleed damage can be devastating.

Once the Bloodhound Knight is dead, do not leave the dungeon as you normally would. As you might have noticed, there is a second exit from this room, opposite from where you came in. Go out through this exit and you will be outside on a small cliff. To your left, you will find the Slumbering Wolf Shack, where you will find Latenna lying beside her slumbering wolf companion Lobo.

Speak with Latenna, and tell her you got half of the medallion from Albus. Agree to hear her request and she will tell you where you need to go next to find the other half, somewhere far further in the game which we will cover in a future guide. She will ask that you take her with you, as a spirit to fight with you. She will disappear and you will acquire the Latenna the Albinauric ashes, giving you Latenna as a summonable spirit.

That is everything we have so far on the Elden Ring Slumbering Wolf Shack and how to unlock Latenna. For more on the game, check out Elden Ring Red Wolf Boss Fight: How To Beat The Red Wolf of Radagon.
