If you're looking to specialise into a Faith-based magical character, then our Elden Ring Prophet build will help you take down all the bosses across the Lands Between with ease. The Prophet is the best Elden Ring class for specialising in the Faith stat, and it allows you to make use of powerful dragon spells and some of the best weapons in the game. So, take a look how to replicate our Elden Ring Prophet build and master the miracles.

Starting as a Prophet will put you at level seven, and give you a good head start on Faith and Mind. You also have a very useful Heal spell to start, which can make a big difference in the early hours when you're low on flasks. The Prophet also begins with a flame spell, short spear, finger seal, and a shield. All of these will be swapped out relatively quickly, but they still have their place for the start.

This build can be quite costly when it comes to runes, as you'll need a few of the stats to be relatively high before you start becoming super powerful. Your focus should mainly be on the Faith stat, though you can probably leave this for your first several levels as you'll want some points in Mind, Vigor, and Dexterity. These four stats are your main focus for the rest of the game, and you'll only want to boost others if you need to reach the requirements for a certain weapon. You'll eventually reach a point where you can start putting all your points into Faith and Vigor alone, but this will be a lot later in the experience.

There are two keys weapons you can find every early that will last for a long while into your Elden Ring playthrough. The Winged Scythe is a reaper weapon with a long reach, that requires 16 Strength and Dexterity, along with 24 Faith. It can be found in the Tombsward Catacombs, which are located in the Weeping Peninsula found in the south. It may take you a while to reach the required stats, but once you do, this will be one of your best weapons for a long time. You can also powerstance with these weapons if you duplicate them, which can make you even stronger, though it's worth putting more points into Vigor in this case.

For the magical side of weapons, the Godslayer's Seal is a quality choice for incantations that can be found in Stormveil Castle. It's inside a room that requires an Elden Ring Stonesword Key, which can be accessed from a set of stairs in the main courtyard. It requires 27 Faith, but once you're up and running with it, you'll be incredibly powerful.

Once you are a long way into the game, you'll finally get a chance to replace the Winged Scythe with the excellent Gargoyle's Black Blades. This is a twinblade weapon found by defeating the Black Blade Kindred boss in the Forbidden Lands, just before the Grand Lift of Rold. It requires 18 Strength, 15 Dexterity, and 22 Faith, so you'll likely be able to equip it immediately.

When it comes to armour you have a few choices, with the Mausoleum Knight set being a good choice early on. This can be earned by farming the Mausoleum Knights near the Walking Mausoleum in the Weeping Peninsula. It doesn't come with a headpiece, but we've got you covered. One of the best headpieces for Faith builds is the Ruler's Mask, as it increases the stat when worn. It can be found in the Altus Plateau region, near the Abandoned Coffin Lost Grace site, and makes a good piece with any armour that you pick up in the game.

The endgame armour set you'll want to aim for is the Briar set. To get this you'll need to travel through the Shaded Castle dungeon in the Altus Plateau, and make your way through it to fight the Elemer of the Briar boss. You'll get an achievement, and then you can go back to the Palm Reader in the Roundtable Hold to purchase the full set. This has a great mix of both physical and magical defence, and you won't need to worry about your armour afterwards.

Of course, like any build, you'll need some talismans to round it off and net some additional benefits. The Two Fingers Heirloom is a great choice that gives you a flat +5 to your Faith stat. This is found inside a chest at the Purified Ruins, which is located toward the south of the Liurnia region. There is also the Faithful's Canvas Talisman which makes all your incantations more powerful. This is found in the Sellia Crystal Tunnel, which is located in the Caelid region.

Another top choice that works for any magic builds, is the Carian Filigreed Crest, which can be bought from Iji the blacksmith near the Caria Manor. You'll have to finish the Elden Ring Blaidd quest or join Ranni before you can purchase this, and it reduces the FP cost of all spells, letting you put out more damage. Our last suggestion is the Godfrey Icon, which enhances all your charged spells, and can be earned from defeating Godefroy the Grafted, who is located at the Golden Lineage Evergaol in the Altus Plateau.

For spells, the choice is really yours, as many of the Faith spells are incredibly powerful. Hunting Dragon Hearts for strong spells is worth it whenever you can, so you can increase your damage output. The prayerbooks are another good choice, such as the Godskin Prayerbook which gives you access to the Black Flame spells.

That's all for our primer on an effective Elden Ring Prophet build, and now you should be able to follow the above steps to create a powerful Faith-based hunter.
