The Witcher has been one of video games’ greatest successes of the last 10 years. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s release brought an incredible sum of players to the franchise after a few series instalments, and after its booming popularity, its Netflix series starring Henry Cavill dominated the streaming service and won a whole new audience.

The fantasy series is still running on a high after many years with Geralt of Rivia, and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down - with a second series of the show still yet to come. It’s strange then, with the second season on the way, that we’ve already got a trailer for the third series.

The Witcher Season 3 Teaser Revealed

A teaser trailer for the new series of The Witcher has launched - but not the new series coming this year. Instead, we have our confirmation that The Witcher’s third season is going ahead. The title of the season looks to be quite simply The Witcher III, which you’ll agree is… familiar.

This has come ahead of the second season’s launch on December 17. It's a curious way to structure announcements, but still, it’s nice to know that even after the upcoming season, there’s plenty more to look forward to.

Especially as this isn’t all that Netflix has announced regarding the world of The Witcher.

Netflix Announces New Witcher Anime Film, New Kids & Family Series

Alongside season 3 of the mainline series, Netflix has announced that it's not done just yet. While we wait for any information on The Witcher 4, the streaming service has become the go-to for all things related to the Continent.

Netflix confirmed in a tweet following the teaser drop, a brand new anime feature film is on the way (to follow The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf), and a brand new kids & family series set in the mythos of the fantasy series.

We’re compelled to see how Netflix tackles the gory series for a much younger audience, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t incredibly excited for it too.

It looks like there’s plenty in the works to look forward to from the collaboration of Netflix and The Witcher, and it doesn’t seem production will be slowing down anytime soon.
