We're squeezing back into our spandex once again, but this time, there's a whole new way to play Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Just after the PlayStation-exclusive game was announced to be getting a PC port, someone went and made it available to play on mobile.

Back in 2018, Insomniac Games took the incredible work that Rocksteady did with its Arkham trilogy and applied the idea to Marvel's wall-crawling hero. Two years later, Miles Morales swung into action for a spin-off of his own that was more than a DLC but wasn't quite a full-blown Spider-Man 2. For those who haven't played, now's your chance.

Can You Play Miles Morales On Mobile?

Sick of Miles Morales being locked to Sony's console, R-User Games and yPER Studios teamed up like Miles and Peter to develop a mobile version of the game. Although it started as a fan project, a swell of support from fans means it's been released as a fully functioning mobile port.

In the trailer, you can see Miles in all his vigilante glory, leaping across the New York City skyline in the depts of winter and showing off his impressive wardrobe of suits. There's even a brand-new outfit in the form of the hooded jacket Miles wears in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse animated movie. The download link for Android is pinned to the comments, and being free-to-play, the download numbers are sure to soar.

Spider-fans are suitably impressed, as one wrote, "The vibe almost like the original! can't believe someone can really capture this and being able to develop it." Another added, "Congratulations, R-User Games! One for creating this amazing game, and one for being the best fangame creator in the entire world! You are the best." A third cheered, "Played the game and I must say I'm now addicted!!! Everything literally everything about the game is phenomenal."

Will Sony Remove Miles Morales From Mobile?

As with all these things, we'd download it while you can. Although some projects like the fan-made Resident Evil 4 remake (not to be confused with Capcom's official one) and the Bloodborne demake have been allowed to stay, Sony is unlikely to let Miles go invisible with this one. Sadly, an official mobile version looks unlikely. As Rocksteady's Arkham Origins mobile game will tell you, these AAA titles don't always translate so well.

Even though R-User Games makes it clear that the build is nothing to do with either Insomniac or Sony, that doesn't mean it won't be slapped with a cease and desist letter. Given that the Miles Morales mobile game uses the same assets and even the official game's logo, it's likely to be in front of the Sony lawyers as we speak. If it doesn't gamers are already asking for an expanded map and boss battles. Get practicing that venom strike.
