Years later, it's still widely considered that Marvel's Spider-Man is one of the absolute highlights of the PlayStation experience.

The chance to swing around New York was more than enough to satiate fans of the web-head, but when the game proved itself to carry a genuinely heartbreaking and impressive story, as well as combat that's as snappy as anything the superhero game genre has seen, it was clear that the game was an immediate benchmark. Plus, with Miles Morales later improving further on the mechanics already established, it was clear that the games had proven themselves.

And now, the pair are joining the roster of a new console entirely.

Spider-Man Remastered And Miles Morales Are Coming To PC

Last night's State of Play conference revealed that Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is finally making its way to PC, joining God of War in a new push of PlayStation titles moving over a different means of gaming - but that's not all.

It may not have been made incredibly clear, but it has also been revealed that Miles Morales will be joining the remastered title on PC as well.

A new post on the PlayStation blog by Ryan Schneider, the head of franchise strategy and studio relations at Insomniac Games, revealed the news in a dedicated thanks to Nixxes, the team working on the port.

"We're grateful to our PlayStation Studios partner studio Nixxes software for fully optimizing Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales for PC. Our production team has been thrilled with Nixxes' collaborative spirit and commitment to quality. We see a lot of ourselves in Nixxes."

When Is Marvel's Spider-Man Coming To PC?

As revealed by the trailer shown at last night's State of Play conference, we have a date for the launch of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PC, and a more vague window for its sequel.

Spider-Man, with all of its DLC, will be swinging onto PC on August 12 this year, and Miles Morales is expected to follow at some time in the Fall, according to the blog post from Insomniac.

It's an exciting time to be a fan of PlayStation's output as a PC player, and who knows - maybe the rest of the year will bring in some more exclusives. We've heard that Ratchet & Clank could use a holiday to a different consoleā€¦
