Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been a long time coming. The LEGO games have always been a special part of gaming, across home and handheld consoles. Stretching from IP to IP, tackling the likes of Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and Jurassic World, fans have always loved the titles - but none quite had the impact of the Lego Star Wars games.

We've waited for an update on Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga for some time now, as the game promises to be the biggest and most exciting LEGO game yet - and now we've finally got confirmation of when to expect it. Better yet, there's a six-minute trailer to boot.

What's New In Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga?

An extensive gameplay trailer for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has finally been released, and it details an incredible game that lives up to the legacy of the galaxy far, far away.

The trailer takes a look at the open-world elements of The Skywalker Saga, showing off a huge map of planets to explore when inside the worlds of each Star Wars movie - an entirely new feature for this game. It also offers a look at the Lego versions of The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, both games that until now, haven't been adapted in any LEGO outing until now.

All of this looks like the open-world Star Wars adventure we've wanted for decades, and it could very easily be the best yet. Luckily for us, the game isn't that far off either.

What Is The New Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Release Date?

Along with this amazing trailer, we've finally got a confirmed release date, and it's soon. The collection is coming out on April 5, and will swing a lightsaber at the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. So everywhere, basically.

This game has been in the works for some time, and we can't wait to take on a planet-hopping adventure for the ages. If you need us, we'll be wandering around the Star Destroyer as a Gonk Droid.
