Luckily for 343 industries, everybody's talking about the surprise launch of Halo Infinite's multiplayer beta. Battlefield 2042 has taken a sudden backseat, as the free-to-play online blast has taken over the gaming space, as fans are absolutely loving it. We're still asking though, where are the Halo Infinite co-op Campaign and Forge?

It's good news for 343 in many ways - the first being that it proves fan excitement for the upcoming official launch of Halo Infinite, but it also gives them a chance to drop a few less-than-perfect announcements without getting all the attention. But, sadly, some fans are catching onto a fact that is very disappointing for many.

Halo Infinite Co-Op Campaign And Forge Have Been Pushed Back

After the disappointment of the announcement that Infinite's Forge mode had been pushed back, fans are going to have to suffer the hurt all over again - because it's been delayed again, along with the game's Campaign co-op.

In a conversation with Eurogamer, 343 Head of Creative Joseph Staten had said that the recent extension of the game's first season to May 2022 has also meant that the releases of Forge and co-op Campaign are also suffering the same fate.

The team is still looking at publishing both features during Season 2, meaning that May 2022 is the absolute earliest we'll get our hands on these features.

"Our goal still remains what I said before, which is to ship campaign co-op with season 2 and Forge with Season 3," said Staten. "But those remain goals. Those remain targets. And we can't commit to any hard dates right now, because as we're seeing with this multiplayer beta, other things might move up in the priority stack."

Halo Infinite Co-Op Campaign And Forge: Updates Are On The Way

Thankfully, Staten has assured some key communication throughout the process. "If it turns out that our progression system just isn't working the way that we intended," he continued. "If we need to move some of these bigger rocks sooner, then we as a team will make those decisions and will clearly communicate to our fans why we're why we're doing certain things."

It seems like those behind Halo Infinite know a lot of fans are going to be disappointed by the further pushback, but at least they're willing to stay open and communicative with their fans. Hold fast, Halo fans - it looks like we've got a while to wait yet.
