When it comes to iconic cinematic scores, few do it as well as John Williams. Lending his musical magic to everything from Jurassic Park to JawsE.T. to Saving Private Ryan, Williams has done it all.

Alongside all of these, there's his acclaimed work on the Star Wars franchise. Now, the legacy of William's iconic "Duel of the Fates" is being honoured in Halo

It's a bizarre turn of events, but the iconic scene from 1999's Star Wars: The Phantom Menace has found a new home in Halo Infinite's Forge mode.

Why Is Duel Of The Fates In Halo Forge?

As spotted by Twinfinite, you can find the Duel of the Fates map over on the Halo Waypoint. It's the work of user Zackfair6996 and currently has 8.7k plays.

The map's description reads, "Iconic location where Darth Maul was faught complete with sequence of ray shield doors and the pit he fell into. Good for teams and ffa. Bots fall often." So, light your lightsabers and give it a go.

Players have already been enjoying this sci-fi spectacle after Twitter user @FootedGhost showed off their gameplay on the Duel of the Fates map. With Williams' score playing over the background, we see the pit where Qui-Gon Jinn fell to his death.

Loving the Star Wars homage, one fan wrote, "I've played this map so many times It’s amazing" Another joked, "1v1 you jedi scum," while a third said, "Best content on infinite yet lmao."

What Other Halo Forge Maps Are There?

The delay of Forge from Halo Infinite's original launch has been a sticking point for many. In a year that Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty: Vanguard went nearly as quickly as they came, Halo Infinite looked like could own the shooter scene.

Forge and Co-op Campaign were repeatedly delayed, but now that the creativity of Forge is back, players are clearly having a lot of fun. As well as The Lord of the Rings and Toy Story, we've seen an impressive recreation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

More than just putting your favourite movies in Halo Infinite - we're guessing someone is building Avatar's Pandora right now - one fan made a custom Infection mode to add zombies to the mix. While we wait for someone to make a Battle of the Heroes map as a nod to Anakin vs Obi-Wan, fire up the Halo Infinite custom browser and check out Duel of the Fates for yourselves.
