We may have been a little unsure about it at first, but now it looks as if Fortnite's new no build mode is going to become a permanent feature, according to one reliable leaker.

Unaware Fortnite players were all set up and ready to explore the game following the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 update on March 20, excited to see what new changes were in store. However, players were shocked to discover that building mode, in which players could construct buildings that would cover them from their enemies, had completely disappeared

Fans were a little unsure of the change at first, having to rely on existing structures to hide from any rival players. However, the reception to the new no build mode has subsequently become overwhelmingly positive. So much so, that Epic Games is currently in the process of making it permanent.

Epic Games Planning On Making Fortnite's No Build Mode Permanent

Since Fortnite's Chapter 3 Season 2 update, the feedback from players about no build mode has been widely positive. Popular streamers Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, Timothy "TimTheTatman" Betar, and Turner "Tfue" Tenney claimed that the change had made Fortnite the best it's been "in years," even calling on it to be permanent.

It seems their wish has come true as, according to Fortnite leaker "TweaBR", Epic Games plans to make the no-build mode a permanent fixture. TweaBR claimed that no build mode will be available by March 29. Not only that, but no build mode will also be available in Solo, Duos, Trios, and Squads.

Don't worry if you're not a huge fan of the change don't worry, because players will be able to choose from the original, build enabled, mode and this new one.

Has Epic Games Confirmed The Change Is Permanent?

As of writing, Epic Games is still sticking to its original claim that the no-build mode is only temporary. However, with the sheer number of players coming back to Fortnite following the update, it would seem like a logical decision from the developer. Especially when even Dr Disrespect, who hasn't been the biggest fan of Fortnite in recent times, had nothing but high praise to say about the change.

Not everyone may be a fan of no build mode, but there's no doubt it has proven to be a fantastic addition to draw in players both old and new. Let's hope that Epic Games doesn't keep us waiting too long to find out if we should keep hold of our blueprints.
