Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Patch Notes: Resistance, Map, Parkour, Weapons, Trailer, More
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 patch notes have arrived and what a season we have in store. Fears that the season may ditch the war theme considering the situation in Ukraine haven't come to pass as players will be facing off one another in an all-out war between The Seven and the Imagined Order (IO). Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: Resistance
Rumours abound that a season that depicted an all-out war between Fortnite's cast of characters may be delayed or scrapped entirely has been misguided as that is exactly what is in store for players in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2. Dubbed "Resistance" this will see Dr Strange and Prowler join IO in their battle against The Seven and in an interesting turn, players will be unable to build for the first week of the new season.
Click to enlargeFollowing on from the inclusion of sliding in Season 1, Chapter 3 Season 2 will give players even more mobility options with sprinting now faster (you will pocket your gun in the process), the ability to mantle walls after jumping, and being able to bash and slide into doors.
New weapons include a Rocket Launcher than can home in on targets (to arrive later in the season), as well as a number of weapons returning from the vault, with some going the other way.
Two confirmed weapons coming to the game at the outset of Chapter 3 Season 2 are the Combat SMG and Striker Burst Rifle, which while not entirely unfamiliar to players are new weapons.
Click to enlargeVehicles also include the Quad Bikes, Hamster Balls (Ballers v2), Helicopters, and the IO's Titan Tanks and Siege Cannons. The latter two are definitely in the game at launch, but there are no confirmed sightings of the first three.
The Titan Tanks are huge armoured vehicles with massive amounts of HP, they can be neutralised by destroying their weak tracks. Would-be tankers can subsequently repair them by using the new Repair Torch.
Of course, there is also the brand new Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Battle Pass which is chock full of cosmetic rewards to unlock.
There is also the addition of an Overshield which is an extra shield that works similar to that found in Halo games in that it will replenish by itself. Giving you an extra 50HP, it will recover even if it goes to 0. You just need to stay out of the line of fire for that to happen.

So far, we only have an unmarked map and - at first glance - it doesn't look like there are major changes compared to the one we left in Chapter 3 Season 2.

Balance Changes

Improvement to first shot accuracy mechanics: weapons with first-shot accuracy (such as the Ranger Assault Rifle) will now reach that state more smoothly, resulting in more "near perfect spread accuracy" moments.
Competitive Notes
- Remote Explosives and Shockwave Grenades are not included in competitive playlists.
- Item unvault voting will not take place in competitive playlists.
- Storm Surge damage intervals have been increased from five seconds to ten seconds.
Building is unaffected in competitive/Arena playlists as well as in Team Rumble and Creative Islands.

- Tree Leaf textures looking low-res
- Bushrangers leaves shed excessively after sliding
- Back Blings "floating" on some outfits
Save The World
- Hero ability control bindings have been shifted
- Wolves and Raptors are missing their combat passive abilities
Switch And Mobile
- Auto Building/Shooting if you hold the build button and double-tap the edit button
