Yippee ki-yay motherlover, could John McClane finally be coming to Fortnite? If Tilted Towers were still there, we could imagine the action hero scaling it in epic fashion.

Over the years, we've had pretty much every Fortnite crossover you can think of. From Ghostbusters to Tron, Ferarri to Balenciaga, we've seen it all. '80s crossovers have seen Terminator and Predator honoured in-game, but as we head toward Christmas, could Die Hard get a chance to jingle its bells?

Is Fortnite Getting A Die Hard Crossover?

We're not going to sit here and argue with you, because yes, Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Epic Games boss Donald Mustard has recently shared a shot of a Die Hard-themed advent calendar.

More than just Mustard declaring it the best Christmas movie of all time, there's a chance he's teasing the long-rumoured collab with Bruce Willis' terrorist-hating hero.

You might remember when leaked court documents from the row between Epic and Apple teased a tonne of crossover skins. We've already seen Neymar, The Rock, and LeBron James arrive in-game, and with John McClane being suspiciously MIA, we're guessing he's just around the corner.

When Could John McClane Arrive In Fortnite?

This wouldn't be John McClane's first video game rodeo. Alongside John Rambo, McClane jumped into Call of Duty for their own bundles in 2021. Could it really be Fortnite's turn?

Given the time of year, Die Hard's festive associations, and the fact the annual Winterfest is on its way to Fortnite, we're guessing John McClane could be arriving in the shop pretty soon.

We're waiting for the map to get a fine dusting of (more) snow, but when it does, there's sure to be even more coming to the shop. Last year had a 12 Days of Christmas event that ended with the Polar Peely skin, and even though we'd love to imagine Epic giving away John McClane, we doubt it would happen.

Also, we sadly don't expect Nakatomi Plaza to suddenly drop onto the map - although we can dream. With Winterfest apparently starting around December 15, there isn't long to wait until Santa will be riding his sleigh over the Fortnite sky.
