Cor blimey guvnor, are we still waiting for Fallout: London? Before Bethesda officially opens the Vault-Tec doors for Fallout 5, modders have created their own Britain-based spin-off.

Much like Grand Theft Auto's miraculous rise to the top of the charts, it's hard to believe how much the Fallout series has evolved. Among its biggest wins was Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas, and now, one dedicated team is trying to recapture that market.

While we wait for even a whisper of the mythical New Vegas 2, modders are bringing a very different take on the nuclear apocalypse - complete with murderous post boxes and Medieval-inspired knights. Sorry though, there's no zombie Queen Elizabeth II

How Can You Be Part Of Fallout: London?

Set in the year 2237, Fallout: London heads to the capital of the United Kingdom, meaning it's the first time Fallout has left the USA.

In the nuclear apocalypse, there are all the factions you might expect, with the likes of the Minutemen-inspired Tommies and Vagabonds looking like they've been pulled from an episode of Peaky Blinders. If you think you've got the chops to lend your vocals, why not give it a try?

Fallout: London creators at Team Folon have released an open call for voice actors. There's an in-depth Google Drive document explaining what you need to do, but don't worry if your cockney accent is a little rough.

The team is looking for "a variety of native UK voice types and accents." So, start practising your best "Yoo know nuffin', Jon Snur" impression. Whether you think you've got the posh twang of the aristocracy to voice someone in the Gentry faction, or a little more rough and ready like the Isle of Dogs Syndicate, give it a go.

It's unclear how big a role these parts will be, and remember, there's already some impressive talent, with Doctor Who alumni Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker recording lines.

When Will Fallout: London Release?

There's no concrete release date for Fallout: London yet, but it's a pretty big deal because we know it's supposed to be coming in 2023.

Even though we don't know when the mod will drop in 2023, it's great news. It's been eight years since Fallout 4 and five since Fallout 76

The project even popped up in the data of Bethesda, which hired one of the mod's writers for the official Fallout team. Elsewhere, it's a colossal undertaking that's about the size of the vanilla Fallout 4 map.

Fallout: London is incredibly exciting for Fallout fans, and if you've been keeping up with its progress, imagine the thrill of hearing yourself in the game.
