Overwatch 2: Season 3 Characters
As with most Seasons, Season 3 is said to include a host of new events, skins, battle pass and more. Unfortunately, Blizzard has confirmed that Season 3 will not include the release of any new characters to the game. Indeed, going forward with their current roadmap, Blizzard has said that new seasons will alternate between offering a new character or new map to the game, with Season 3 starting things off with a new map.

Overwatch 2: Season 3 Map
Speaking of a new map, Blizzard has revealed that the new addition in Overwatch 2 Season 3 will be Antarctic Peninsula. This will be a new Control map, which is the game mode that sees teams fight for control of a capture point across three different levels.
This is exciting for players as, technically, we're getting three different variations within the new map. Plus, Control is one of the more balanced and popular game modes in Overwatch right now. To top it all off, the Antarctic Peninsula has adorable penguins. What more could you want?
Overwatch 2 Season 3: New Mythic Skin & Updates To Rewards
The new Season will of course come with a brand new Battle Pass for players to purchase and unlock new cosmetics with. At the end of each Battle Pass, players can work towards unlocking a coveted Mythic Skin that's even better than golden Legendaries.
While last month saw Junker Queen getting the Mythic Skin treatment, Season 3 brings Kiriko into the spotlight with the Amaterasu skin. To unlock it, you'll need to purchase the Battle Pass and reach Level 80 before the Season runs its course.
While there will be new skins available in the shop, you'll also find new earnable currency to redeem against skins. Overwatch 2's cosmetic pricing has been a point of controversy since the sequel launched, so it'll be interesting to see how much of a grind it is to earn these skins -- and whether they're worth the work at all.
Overwatch 2 One Punch Man Crossover
Overwatch 2 is getting an anime crossover for Season 3 - or at least Doomfist is.
With a new outfit inspired by One Punch Man, Doomfist will cosplay as Saitama from March 7 to April 6. Fans can expect multiple skins and a new loading screen.
Is There An Overwatch 2: Season 3 Start Date?
As per the official Overwatch 2 roadmap, each Season is said to routinely run on a nine-week cycle. As such, the start date for Season 3 is February 7. If you're looking for a specific time, you should be able to jump into the action from 7PM GMT.
Blizzard has also not set an official date for Overwatch 2 PvE story mode, but it won't be coming as part of Season 3.
