Click to enlargeGolden guns in Overwatch 2 are a unique item to acquire in the game. They cannot be bought from the shop and will not be available in the seasonal battle passes. Instead, you'll need a unique currency called Competitive Points. They can be earned by finishing competitive seasons and getting as high of a rank as possible. You can access the golden gun skin at the bottom of each character screen. The speed of getting golden guns will increase, depending on your performance. Here are the rewards for each rank, and some are absolutely dreadful:
- The lowest rank Bronze gives 65 Competitive Points
- Silver provides 125 Competitive Points
- Gold is at 250 Competitive Points
- Platinum will provide 500 Competitive Points
- Diamond rewards you with 750 Competitive Points
- Master will grant you 1,200 Competitive Points
- The highest rank Grandmaster provides 1,750 Competitive Points.
Each gold gun costs 3,000 Competitive Points in total. Even if you get the highest rank in one season, you can't immediately get the skin. However, you also earn Competitive Points for winning competitive matches, so there is an incentive to keep on winning as much as possible. You earn 15 competitive points for each win and five for every game that you tie. No competitive points are earned if you lose a game.

Other Rewards In Overwatch 2
Click to enlargeThere are far easier rewards you can get in Overwatch 2. For example, the Season 1 Battle Pass for the game has many skins, highlight intros, and emotes to unlock along the way. There are about 80 rewards to get from just 1,000 Overwatch Coins.
The best value for your money with Overwatch 2 is the Watchpoint Pack. For around $40 or £35, you can get all the characters from the first game, 2,000 Overwatch Points, and the Season 1 Battle Pass. 2,000 Overwatch Points will get you around one skin or two future battle passes. You may want to save them for later as the battle pass doesn't give you currency back, unlike Fortnite.
