You may want to know how to play Gun Game in MW2, due to the iconic FPS game mode being confirmed by Activision to be added as part of Season 2 as a launch mode.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is a fairly content-rich game, meaning there is a lot to do across the campaign, multiplayer, Warzone, and DMZ modes. With each season there is also new content added, ranging from new maps to new weapons, and with this comes special game modes that are added on a weekly rotation.

So, if you're loading up Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 and want to know how to play the newly added Gun Game, we've got you covered.

Despite Activision confirming prior to Season 2 releasing that Gun Game would be available on launch, the mode currently doesn't seem to be playable, which is confusing players.

The official blog post states, "one of three party game modes launching in season, Gun Game is a competition of overall gun skill". However, if you load up multiplayer and check the menus for the various modes, Gun Game is nowhere to be found, meaning it will likely be added on a later rotation.

Sadly, this means you will have to wait to play Gun Game, so we recommend just checking the available modes every day until the playlist becomes available. Once it's there, just select the mode, and you'll be taken into matchmaking to search for other players.

While we don't know if Gun Game will be available past season 2, it's set to run up until April 11, giving players plenty of time to enjoy the mode when it is on rotation.
