Along with the Attack-boosting Adamant nature, one of the best things that make Azumarill such a beast is Huge Power - doubling its Attack stat with no drawbacks. To further that, its EVs need to be fully invested into Attack, along with Defense and the last few into HP for tank durability.
The true potential of Azumarill's tank prowess lies in Belly Drum and its Hold Item, the Shell Bell. After using Belly Drum boosts its Attack by six stages, the Shell Bell recovers 1/8th of the damage Azumarill deals with each attack.
