In the lead-up to Easter, there will be plenty of hunting in Call of Duty, as the developers are turning the newly arrived Ashika Island map in Warzone 2 into a basket of eggs.

As Ashika island prepares to open its doors for Warzone 2 players, the bunny-hopping resurgence community won't be the only rabbits on the map.

Season 2 will start a string of Easter eggs throughout Ashika Island, with some available at launch and others coming out further down the line.

Ashika Island Set To Have A String Of Easter Eggs

High Moon Studios Creative Director Matt Krystek has confirmed that Easter eggs will be a big part of Ashika Island.

Speaking on Twitter, the developer said, "We've doubled down on the number of Easter Eggs. A lot of these will be rolling out throughout the season."

If Treyarch has lent a hand in this portion of the development too, the Island will likely have Easter eggs that take months or even years to find. Remember, some Black Ops Zombies quests are just being discovered four years after their release, while others remain unsolved eight years down the line.

The First Ashika Island Easter Egg Has Been Revealed

The first Ashika Island Easter egg has already been revealed, and despite its easy and quirky method of completion, it mars with previous Easter eggs like the New Year's themed ones in Modern Warfare 2.

According to Krystek, "Players should try throwing a grenade in the water every once in a while and see what happens."

It's doubtful that this will be the most elaborate of Easter eggs, but it's a nice start that bodes well for the future of Ashika Island as Warzone 2 tries to get back on top following a shaky Season 1.
