The disparity between PC and console players in Call of Duty massively shifted in favour of the computers amid console wars, given that over in Warzone PC players are given a huge advantage over their console counterparts.

With players looking to decide between a PS5 and an Xbox Series X|S, Warzone players often ditched the console arms race in favour of PCs. Why? FOV sliders.

The Field of View sliders allows players to see more of the surroundings. While console players have a slider in multiplayer (Vanguard, Cold War, Modern Warfare), the developers have never added it to Warzone. Yet.

FOV Sliders Coming To Console Warzone 2

The developers previously ruled out FOV sliders coming to console players while Warzone exists, leaving PC players to have a huge advantage while playing - often being able to break players' cameras with movement mechanics and spot opponents that console players could not.

However, with the upcoming sequel fast approaching, one streamer who claims to have seen the game has 'confirmed' that Warzone 2 will have a FOV slider for all generations of console.

The same leaker previously claimed that the Warzone 2 map is a beautiful crossover between Blackout and Caldera, rather than a Verdansk remake.

Warzone 2 FOV Slider Could Come To Last-Gen Consoles

According to "Metaphor", the FOV slider is coming to last-gen consoles as well as new-gen, meaning that the developers have finally found a way to allow the 10-year-old Xbox Ones to run the enhanced game experience.

Despite this, Metaphor has joked that the old consoles might struggle to increase their FOV without the game quality suffering, adding, "it won't" be able to cope.

Alas, Warzone players can finally compete on a level playing field, and with Ricochet promised from day one, the PC advantages are running slimmer and slimmer.
