Ten years later, players are still finding out about the plethora of secrets that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is littered with. A big one, in particular, is the hidden dragon that can be summoned in the underground caverns of Blackreach, but how?

How Do You Summon The Dragon In Blackreach?

The beast in question is the legendary ancient dragon Vulthuryol, who can be summoned by following some specific steps in the underground Dwemer capital of Blackreach. Firstly, players will need to find the huge orb hanging from the middle of Blackreach, above the Debate Hall and Hall of Rumination. It’s hard to miss, as it glows a bright orange and is encased in a patterned metal shell.

Once it’s found, you need to activate your Unrelenting Force shout (the famous one that goes Fus-Ro-Dah) directly at the orb and Vulthuryol will be summoned. In the game’s dragon language, their name directly translates into Dark-Overlord-Fire, so bring your best weapons because that sounds intense. According to his stats, he’s level 50 no matter what your level is, so it’s a fight best saved for the late game due to his high health and mana.

What Other Secrets Are Players Still Finding?

Skyrim is so full of secrets that it would be nearly impossible to discover them all in one playthrough. Recently, players rediscovered the classic glitch that enables mannequins to walk around players' houses, and there is the ghostly headless horseman who is still freaking people out.

On the Reddit thread where users shared their discovery of the dragon Vulthuryol were some other secrets that have evaded many of Skyrim’s denizens. One user discovered a perfect circle of all the game’s fungi at Falkreath, which are called fairy circles.

Another discovered a helpful location that increases your speech skill, called Bard’s Leap Summit, where the player can make a leap of faith, which (if you survive) gives you a point for your bravery.

With the upcoming Skyrim Anniversary Edition, players will have a new chance to dive into the world of Skyrim and rediscover these secrets again. Who knows, maybe Bethesda will add some more hidden content in the new edition.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversay Edition is releasing on November 11, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and select PC platforms. It will also be available day one with the Xbox Game Pass.
