Following Seth "Scump" Abner's heartbreaking retirement from Call of Duty, the question on everyone's lips is who will take over as the King of CoD?

The 27-year-old bowed out from competing while still being one of the best players in Call of Duty, even though his pacing might not have been up to scratch with that of his cracked young teammates.

Now, there is a prince or princess that needs to be promoted to the throne, and Scump has identified who he thinks is the best player in the game right now - snubbing his ex-teammates.

Scump Claims HyDra Is The Best Player In CoD

With Scump now taking a backseat in the Call of Duty League community, the 30-time champion has now joined the "hail HyDra" gang and identified the New York Subliners man as the best in the game.

Talking in his co-stream of the CDL, Scump said, "This guy is gross. This guy is the best player on CoD." He then added, "This guy is the best player on CoD right now and it's not even close."

Scump's gas for the French phenomenon comes even more surprising since his recent teammates Antony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro and Brandon "Dashy" Otell are in contention for this accolade alongside the $2 million man Amer "Pred" Zulbeari and FaZe's McArthur "Cellium" Jovel.

Scump Reveals Why HyDra is the best in the CDL

Continuing on stream, Scump revealed that it's HyDra's ability to take the pressure off his team with huge individual sprees that make him so special.

"He's 23 for 11 right now [against FaZe]. He's so good at getting kills. I know that's like a really easy thing to say but it's not easy. He's actually so good at just farming kills," Scump said.

HyDra is one of the most sought-after players in the league and was even offered a whopping $1,500,000 salary in the pre-season. Well, that was before stalking horse-esque talks with OpTic broke down.
