As one of the most successful organisations in Rocket League, Dignitas has eyed a former world champion to help push them back into contention at the upper echelon of the RLCS.

Kyle "Scrub Killa" Robertson has officially signed for Dignitas.

The 18-year-old Scotsman has been one of the most prominent figures in the Rocket League scene, even before breaking through three years ago. Since signing for Renault Vitality back in 2018, Scrub Killa has since gone on to win the Season 7 World Finals, including the MVP and Clutch Playmaker titles in the same event.

Since rising to fame, Scrub Killa has finished in the top four in both Season 8 Worlds and Season 9 Regionals, before having quite a rostermania-fuelled frantic journey in RLCS X.

Now, Scrub Killa rounds off the Dignitas roster, alongside the flamboyant duo of Jack "ApparentlyJack" Benton and Joris "Joreuz" Robben.

Scrub Killa previously made a large claim, typical to his nature, saying: "I really want to make a great f***ing comeback," and this move could certainly give him the platform to do so.

The trio now all stem from a 1v1 background, where mechanics plays are highlighted over the likes of rotations. However, with a wealth of experience in Scrub Killa's locker, he could be the one to steer the ship in a new direction following the departure of Jos "ViolentPanda" Van Meurs and Head Coach John "Virge" Willis.

Previously, ApparentlyJack told GGRecon that "I think the way pro Rocket League will evolve will rely more on mechanics - not necessarily flamboyant mechanics but good solid base mechanics. I believe 1s is the best game mode to develop these in," indicating why he was keen to be paired next to possibly the best 1v1 Rocket League player of all time.

Dignitas are now one of the first European teams to cement their roster for the upcoming season, alongside Karmine Corp and Endpoint CeX. With the off-season heating up, the early practice could go in Dignitas' favour.
