Overwatch 2 Lucio Glitch Lets Players See Through Walls
The launch of Overwatch 2 has been messy, but thankfully, things seemed to have levelled out over the last few days. Alongside the collapse of the game's servers under the weight of immeasurable player numbers, there have been multiple DDoS attacks, and the removal of Torbjorn and Bastion in the face of game-breaking bugs.
It's all contributed to a pretty catastrophic start for the sequel, with a lot to prove. We're crawling towards less teetering Overwatch 2, and it hasn't come a moment too soon. Except maybe for Lucio players.
What Is The Overwatch 2 Lucio Glitch?
It looks as though some DPS Lucio players are going to have some decisions to make, as one of the character's most popular skins is making him visible through walls.
As first brought to light by Reddit user u/FidgetSpinnetMan in the Overwatch subreddit, it looks as though the particle effects that emanate from Lucio's Snow Fox skin can be seen through walls regardless of distance - giving the character a huge positional disadvantage.
It's frustrating, as players were assured that their skins ported over from Overwatch would be fine. Sadly, it seems as though the legacy skin is going to be causing problems for players, especially in competitive scenarios.
The Broken Lucio Skin Isn't Available To Buy
Though it's lucky that the skin can't be bought in the in-game store of Overwatch 2, it puts Blizzard in a bit of a sticky spot. The Lucio skin was an unlock from the previous game, meaning that those who got the skin got it fair and square.
If Blizzard opts to use its current strategy of removing broken elements from the game until it gets around to fixing them, fans are going to be very upset. Either way, the skin needs a fix - as after all, DPS Lucios aren't exactly known for their patience.
