Celebrations in esports are becoming ever-more ludicrous as the industry continues to evolve. Whether it be the esteemed Turner "Tfue" Tenney 'tornado-ing' a beverage down his throat on-stream after an Apex Legends tournament, the San Francisco Shock treating themselves to fancy rings following an OWL Championship trophy hoist, or splashing the exuberant prize money into other games like Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee in Genshin Impact just days after winning League of Legends Worlds 2021, there seem to be no limits to how players will bask in their own glory.

Even in the Call of Duty world, Atlanta FaZe sported winners' jackets and Nike Air Jordan's immediately after the final bullets were flown in the 2021 World Championship, and Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez treated his team to Yeezy's as a good-luck charm after celebrating breaking their duck over the eventual champions in mid-season.

Now, one Call of Duty community member has gone above and beyond, as a mum of Los Angeles Guerrillas' newest star has inked their logo onto her arm in commemoration of her son's miracle performance at the CDL Major II.

Spart's Mum Gets LAG Tattoo

Kris "Spart" Cervantez stunned the Call of Duty esports scene by becoming the first substitute to win a Major since 2015, as previous dud-team Los Angeles Guerrillas miraculously won the CDL Major II.

Spart was by far the most influential figure of their run, replacing the unwell Pierce "Gunless" Hillman, as his unorthodox approach of using the Volk as a flex weapon revolutionised the Vanguard meta. Now, weeks after his win, Spart's mum has inked a tattoo on her arm to remember his feat.

Spart's relationship with his family was outlined by his winners' speech on-stage at the Major, which was interrupted to share an embrace with his mum and sister.

Taking to Twitter, Spart said, "mom you are crazy but I love you," as she will now have a constant reminder of when her son pulled off one of Call of Duty esports' finest moments.

When quizzed on the design, Spart's mum said, "I want to see it when I look down at my wrist," and whilst he will not be at LAG forever, she added, "It’s all about the sentimental value!"

For Spart, his future still remains uncertain, as Gunless returns to health and questions loom as to whether the headshot multiplier on the Volk should cause the weapon to be banned from future CDL events.

However, he's made history, and now he'll always remember it by looking at his mum's fresh ink.
