This year, Bungie celebrates its 30th anniversary (oh god, are we old?), and fans are expecting something big as part of its celebrations. The company behind Halo, Myth and Destiny is a celebrated one in the gaming industry, so expectations are high that it'll be able to pull out something exciting to celebrate this great milestone.

According to one leaker, it could be a bigger celebration than we initially expected, as it looks like there’s going to be a big crossover between two of its fan-favourite franchises.

Is a Halo And Destiny 2 crossover coming?

The popular Destiny 2 leaker Wish has revealed some information about what is planned in-game for the MMO title. Hold onto your butts because they've suggested a big Halo crossover is coming to Destiny

They have stated on Twitter that a new mission is coming to Destiny 2 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the company, and it will take place on the space station from the original Halo game.

This might come as a shock to a lot of fans. Since Bungie passed the game series onto Microsoft for the next era of Halo, it wasn’t expected that there was much between them in the way of agreements.

Something must have been struck here, though, if the game is planning on a big crossover that includes a whole sequence set in the location of a game that is now owned by Microsoft. Despite Bungie’s connection to Halo, it’s still a surprising crossover.

Wish has suggested in their tweet that the mission will be arriving in-game on December 30, and even though Bungie celebrated their birthday in July, this event is bound to make people excited for Bungie’s impressive milestone.

We’re intrigued to see what this mission will look like, and with the upcoming The Witch Queen DLC to look forward to as well, we’re spoiled for choice at the moment. Destiny 2 fans, it seems your time is now.
