In Tower of Fantasy, weapon rarity falls into either the SR category or SSR category. Weapons can be bought from a gacha-style pull on a Special Order, which is Tower of Fantasy's version of weapon banners. Weapons fall into four different damage types and can be upgraded with materials in-game. To find out more about weapon types in Tower of Fantasy and how to get them, read here.

There are four weapon types in Tower of Fantasy that deal different types of damage.

Weapon Type

Damage Type

Flame (fire)

A charged attacks deal out fire damage to enemies for eight seconds and implements additional damage every second. Enemies of fire have reduced healing capabilities.

Grievous (physical)

A charged attacks create a grievous status effect on targets, leaving them more vulnerable to damage. This lasts for seven seconds.

Ice Shell (ice)

A charged attack deals out frostbite damage for six seconds and freezes the enemy for two seconds. If the Ice Shell is broken, it causes AOE damage.

Volt (electric)

A charged attack paralyses the enemy for one second and electrocutes them for six seconds thereafter. Electrified damage negates any buffs the enemy might otherwise receive for those six seconds.

Along with the elemental type, weapons are also categorised into three different categories, these are defence, support, and attack. You can equip up to three weapons onto a character. Depending on the combination of effects you implement, you may create a resonance effect. The following are all the Resonance effects depending on which weapon types you pair together. To figure out which category your weapon belongs to, it should have an icon next to its element type which will either be a red sword for attack, an amber shield for defence or a blue plus for support.

Tower of Fantasy Weapon Upgrades

Weapons can be upgraded with Weapon Batteries, which are usually rewarded from bounty missions or from promo codes, alternatively, they can be bought directly from the weapon store. Once the weapon is fully upgraded, you can 'augment' the weapon and upgrade it past the level cap, which requires rarer materials. (Similar to the Ascension levels in Genshin Impact).

Augment materials tend to be Elemental Ores and Glazes and Frames. Elemental Ores can be received from gacha pulls, the weapon and support stores or from farming elemental and crystal ores around Aesperia. Glazes and Frames can be found through weapon augmentation boxes, or as a random loot drop from password chests. It may also be a reward upon completion of Interstellar Exploration, Omnium Beacons, and Dimensional Trials.
