Tower of Fantasy Characters: Everything You Need To Know

Tower of Fantasy is the most recent gacha game to release in the wake of the success of similar titles like Genshin Impact. Gacha games like Tower of Fantasy prioritise characters above all else, with each character boasting different weapons and special abilities and categorised as either SR or the rarer SSR class. Tower of Fantasy Characters: How To Unlock The Simulacra

To be able to switch in-between characters you’ve won through Special Orders (character banners) you'll first have to unlock the Simulacra system. This system is essentially a character menu that lets you swap between active characters.

To unlock the Simulacra, you'll have to progress through the main story chapter enough to meet Scrapper at the Omni Tower near the Astra Shelter and follow his questline. The main quest will guide you to this point after meeting Shirli and Franz and will take about 30 minutes of playtime to get to.

Once you've helped Scrapper clear the area overrun by hyenas and unlocked the weapons database, you'll be able to access the Simulacra menu by pressing the ESC key and selecting it from the list of menus.

Tower of Fantasy Characters: How To Get

Characters are available to buy from Special Orders, which are essentially character banners or gacha pulls. The odds of receiving a character are randomised and will require you to spend different currencies depending on the banner type. When you receive a special weapon, you'll also get the associated character (Simulacra) who wields it. You'll then be able to interchange characters and weapons as you wish, with a maximum of three weapons attached to each Simulacra.

Weapons Galore Banner: Gold Nucleus Variant

This banner requires you to spend Gold Nuclei for a gacha pull. The pity system guarantees you an SSR weapon/Simulacra for every 80 gacha pulls. Crucially, the pity system will continue to roll even if you receive an SSR early, meaning you should still receive one for every 80 pulls.

The Gold Nuclei banner has a 0.75% chance for an SSR Simulacra, which increases to 2% every pull thereafter.

If you receive a duplicate, the materials are used for weapon advancements, in a similar way to the Ascension levels of Genshin Impact.

Weapons Galore Banner: Black Nucleus Variant

This banner requires you to spend Black Nuclei for a gacha pull. There isn’t a pity system attached to this banner, so the results are luck-based for every pull.

The Black Nuclei banner has a 0.3% chance for an SSR every pull and a 3% chance for an SR.

Rebirth of Clemency: Limited Banner

This is a timed exclusive banner that requires Red Nuclei per gacha pull and features limited SSR that do not appear on the standard Special Orders (banners). The banner has a pity system of 80, like the Gold Nuclei banner, and the same drop rate, meaning that you are guaranteed an SSR on the 80^th gacha pull every time. You won't be able to get the features SSR weapons and Simulacra on the other banners and the featured SSRs will rotate around every 21 days.

There are also Matrix Banners that allow you to perform gacha pulls for artifacts, which grant certain boosts to characters.
