You will want to know the Scorn system requirements if you plan on playing the upcoming first-person survival horror adventure on PC, and want to make sure your rig can handle the grotesque visuals. Scorn is a game that's looked promising since it was first announced back in 2014 with its highly distinct visual style and atmosphere, and as a next-gen exclusive, we expect it to push many computers to their limits. So if you need to know what the minimum and recommended Scorn system requirements are, we've got you covered.

From what we know about Scorn so far, it doesn't seem like a particularly huge game, but there is set to be a lot of nonlinear exploration across various environments. Combined with the high-fidelity graphics and effects made possible by Unreal Engine, it may still push your PC to its limits if you're running on lower-end hardware. Below are the minimum and recommended system requirements for Scorn.

Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: QuadCore AMD Ryzen 3 3300X / Intel Core i5-8400
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (3 GB)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB available space (SSD)

Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10/11
  • Processor: QuadCore AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / Intel Core i7-8700
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2070 (8 GB)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB available space (SSD)

One of the big requirements seems to be an SSD, meaning players who plan on running the game on standard hard drives may run into long loading times. When it comes to the minimum specifications, most of them are five to six-year-old hardware. Along with a low memory requirement of 8 GB, many players shouldn't have too much trouble running the game at around 30 FPS, assuming it's well optimised on release.

For recommended specs, you'll need some much newer hardware and the increasingly more common 16 GB RAM. The 20 series of NVIDIA GPUs released at an odd time, meaning most PC gamers own the 10 or 30 series, so many people will either outdo the recommended specs or fit neatly into the minimum requirements.

That's all for our rundown of the Scorn system requirements, and now you know what the minimum and recommended hardware is to play the game on PC.

Make sure you also check out our Scorn release date guide, which covers everything you should know about the game before release.
