The Noble Pokemon of Pokemon Legends Arceus are extremely powerful Pokemon that are important to the people of Hisui. Each has been struck by lightning from the space-time rift and become frenzied. Your job throughout the story is to calm them using balms.

Taking on Noble Pokemon is a test of all the new abilities you have in this game. They demand you master movement and dodging, as well as throwing, so using your Pokemon is an important part too, but not the main mechanic. More than anything you need to stay on your toes and keep pelting the Pokemon with balms. Noble Pokemon telegraph their attacks, and you need to learn them quickly to stay on your feet.

There are a few things you need to remember to be successful when challenging the Noble Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus. First and foremost, keep moving. Taking damage can be severe in these boss fights, so you really don’t want to get hit at all. Learning to read the moves of the Noble Pokemon is important, know what’s coming and get out of the way.

Getting the timing down on your dodge is also vitally important. You don’t want to spam your dodges, as there is a period of time after each dodge where you are vulnerable. During your dodge, however, you are completely invincible. Making use of that brief period of invincibility is key to avoiding many attacks.

Of course, you also need to do damage. Wearing the Noble Pokemon down by throwing balms is crucial, but not at the expense of keeping yourself alive. Try not to get caught up in doing damage to the point that you miss an incoming attack. It is also important to bring a Pokemon that can take down the Noble quite easily. When you get the chance to send in a Pokemon choose one that has moves that are super effective to beat the Noble quickly, then be ready to pelt it with balms.

The encounters with each Noble Pokemon will get progressively more difficult as you make your way through Pokemon Legends Arceus, but the basics will always be true. Watch the Pokemon and learn its moves. Attack only when it is safe to do so. Make use of your dodge and its invincibility frames. Bring a Pokemon that is super effective against it. Above all else, keep yourself alive and moving and you will be fine.

Pokemon Legends Arceus Noble Pokemon List

Here are all the Noble Pokemon you will be taking on throughout the game, and some tips for each one.

Noble Kleavor

This is the first Noble and is quite easy, so as to teach you the basics. Kleavor will charge at you repeatedly, and it will flash just before it charges. Be ready to dodge out of the way when you see it flash. It is bug/rock type, so use water, rock or steel moves to bring it down.

Noble Lilligant

Lilligant dances around the arena, and uses shockwave attacks. Use the invincibility of your dodge to avoid them. Hisuian Lilligant is a grass/fighting type, so it is weak to fire, ice, poison, flying, psychic and fairy moves.

Noble Arcanine

Arcanine charges at you like Kleavor, but this arena is much more restrictive. Dodge its attacks and wear it down. Eventually, it will set the centre area on fire. At this point, you will be locked into one small area, and you will really have to make use of your dodge to avoid its attacks. Hisuian Arcanine is fire/rock type, making it doubly weak to water and ground moves.

Noble Electrode

Electrode has several attacks. It will use homing attacks while also using area of effect electric attacks that cause shockwaves on the ground. Hisuian Electrode is electric and grass type, making it weak to fire, ice, poison and bug moves.

Noble Avalugg

Avalugg has a wide variety of attacks. It will send out waves of ice balls, it will attack with ice spikes from above and below, and it will fire an ice beam. Watch for the telltale signs and use your dodge invincibility to pass through the ice beam. Hit Avalugg with balms when it moves closer. When the battle begins, use water, grass, fighting, ground, rock or steel attacks to weaken this ice/rock Pokemon.

Dialga/Palkia Origin Form

Depending on who you choose to go with between Adaman and Irida, towards the end of the game you will either fight Dialga or Palkia in their Origin Form. Whichever you choose, the fight is basically the same. You will fight them in a large circular area, so you have plenty of room to move. You don't use Pokemon in this fight, instead, you must take them down with balms alone. Luckily, they are quite easy to beat.

They use mostly area of effect attacks, so move quickly when you see a circle on the ground below you. As well as that they can emit a shockwave attack, so be sure to dodge over that. Towards the end of the fight, they will start using longer area of effect attacks that stay on the ground, so avoid those entirely to be safe.

That is everything you need to know to take down Pokemon Legends Arceus Noble Pokemon. For more on what’s new in the game, check out Pokemon Legends Arceus Space-Time Distortions explained!
