The Pokemon BDSP Battle Tower is part of the very expansive post-game, which has plenty of new areas to explore, including Pokemon BDSP Route 224. If you want to complete the National Dex in Pokemon BDSP, exploring absolutely everywhere is vital, as is completing the Battle Tower with the best team possible. How do you unlock the Battle Tower, you ask? Worry not, as this Pokemon BDSP Battle Tower guide has everything you need to know.

The Pokemon BDSP Battle Tower can be very daunting as there are multiple modes to choose from and a battling format that some players might not be used to. But don't worry as this guide has everything you need to know about the Battle Tower in Pokemon BDSP.

Pokemon BDSP Battle Tower: How To Unlock It

The Battle Tower is unlocked after defeating the Elite Four at the Pokemon League. Once you've done that, head to Snowpoint City and take the boat to the Battle Zone. Once you arrive at the Fight Area you will encounter your rival and a new character called Buck. There is a Pokemart and Pokemon Center among other buildings here if you need to purchase any items or heal your Pokemon.

Once you've done what you need there you can head into the Battle Tower which has a shop where you can purchase many items and TMs by using Battle Points that you earn by taking part in the Battle Tower, a full list of items is below.

You have the option to choose Singles or Doubles Battles, which will use either one or two of your team at the same time. All Pokemon over level 51 will be capped at level 50, while any Pokemon below level 50 will remain at their current level. Players are also only able to use three Pokemon in Singles Battles and four in Doubles Battles.

Pokemon BDSP Battle Tower Banned Pokemon

Most Pokemon are able to be used in the Battle Tower, with only a few that are banned from competition. These are:

  • Dialga
  • Giratina
  • Groudon
  • Ho-Oh
  • Jirachi
  • Kyogre
  • Lugia
  • Manaphy
  • Mew
  • Mewtwo
  • Palkia
  • Rayquaza

Pokemon BDSP Battle Tower Best Teams

When it comes to the best teams to use there are a few different Pokemon that prove to be very strong in the Battle Tower and can help you gain a 49 win streak to unlock the Master Class or even take you to 100 wins for the bragging rights over your friends.

Battle Tower Best Singles Pokemon:

  • Cloyster
  • Gyarados
  • Tyranitar
  • Garchomp
  • Suicune
  • Metagross

Battle Tower Best Doubles Pokemon:

  • Ludicolo
  • Politoed
  • Arcanine
  • Togekiss

While you will encounter many different Pokemon in the Battle Tower, including many that aren't in the original Sinnoh Pokedex, there are a few that you will need to watch out for as these can devastate a team very quickly, especially if you happen to be weak against their attacks, which many Pokemon in our lists are.

These Pokemon are:

  • Starmie
  • Jangaskhan
  • Quagsire
  • Zapdos
  • Gyarados
  • Heracross
  • Latios
  • Mamoswine
  • Lapras

A number of the Pokemon in this list can use Ice-type moves, which can be effective against many different types of Pokemon. It is impossible to create a perfect team as every Pokemon is strong and weak against certain typings, but the Battle Tower will give you a lot of good practice at creating a competitive team that you can then take online and battle against real trainers as you try and prove that you're the very best.
