The Lost Ark Tytalos boss comes as part of the game's Guardian Raids, which are end-game events that groups of players can take part in. Many of Lost Ark's Guardian Raid bosses are a step-up from the world bosses and story bosses, but Tytalos goes a notch further. Additionally, many players are reporting that the fight is currently broken, and Smilegate are suggesting players avoid the raid for now. If you want to know how to master the Lost Ark Tytalos fight and avoid dying, read on.

Lost Ark Tytalos: What's Wrong With The Fight?

Currently, the Tyatalos raid is experiencing some game breaking issues that are prohibiting players from taking on the boss and defeating him.

The developers shared a post on the Lost Ark forums stating: "We are aware of an issue within the Tytalos Guardian Raid that makes defeating Tytalos in the time frame allotted extremely difficult for the power level required to participate... creating a blocker for progression."

Smilegate have proposed avoiding the Raid for now as they try to fix the issues, and are also looking for ways to compensate players who have been blocked from progressing forward. A hotfix is set to go live today (March 14) so hopefully the issues don't carry on much longer.

Unlike the Lost Ark world bosses, Tytalos doesn't spawn in a set place, but has to be fought during a specific Guardian Raid. These are events that you can play with friends or with matchmade partners, by accessing them in any major city.

The Tytalos Guardian Raid is the last boss of the level two raids, and requires players to be equipped item level 580 before participating. Additionally, you have to complete every level one boss first, which includes Ur'nil, Lumerus, Icy Legoros, and Vertus. Once you've reached these criteria, feel free to attempt the fight.

Lost Ark Tytalos: How To Defeat Tytalos

Tytalos is a particularly difficult boss because he is the first one that has a mechanic which allows him to one-shot players and even wipe the entire team. This is because of an ability called Annihilation, which you'll need to learn to deal with, so you can defeat Tytalos and move onto the tougher Guardian Raids. Tytalos has a few other attacks, but many of these are slow and well-telegraphed, making them easy enough to avoid.

Once you've been fighting Tytalos for some time, he will start summoning sandstorms around the combat arena. It's key to avoid these as they will give you a slowness debuff that can stack up to three times, with the third stack applying a temporary stun to you. However once you have three stacks, you can't receive the debuff again for 30 seconds.

At some point while these sandstorms are permeating the arena, Tytalos will begin a powerful AoE attack that is signalled when he crouches down low and the floor underneath glows red. When Tytalos starts this attack, all the players need to run into a sandstorm to stay immune from the damage.

This is where the difficulty lies, as players need to avoid the sandstorms for a period of time so they don't receive a slowness debuff, while also waiting to jump into one just at the moment Tytalos begins his AoE attack. It may take some practice to get the timing, but once you have mastered the mechanic, the rest of the fight is a cakewalk.

That's our rundown of the Lost Ark Tytalos boss fight, and now you know to beat the last level two Guardian Raid.

You'll want to also know how to get Chaos Shards in Lost Ark, which are important for your class Awakening ability.
