After being caught by the Nova Corp escaping the Quarantine Zone, the Guardians are fined for their cargo. Just how much you are fined depends on what choice you make in the Guardians of the Galaxy llama or tech dilemma. Depending on your choice you will then be fined either 7000 or 8000 units, of which you need to pay off in just three cycles.

Here, you're trying to garner the attention of the Nova Corp Worldmind. You can register in the Nova Corp, try and request active Nova Corp agents or report crimes. However, the only way to get the attention of the Nova Corp is by selecting Criminal Offences, then Past Crimes and finally Pay A Fine.
This will launch a cutscene with the Worldmind, however once complete you will be given the option to complete the Guardians of the Galaxy pay fine story thread. If you still have the cash at this point, paying the fine will rid your ship (The Milano) of a disabler, which will turn off power if the Guardians' fine hasn’t been paid. Paying the fine does unlock the “Galactic Frugality” trophy for those looking to 100% the game.
