The Guardians of the Galaxy sell Rocket or Groot choice comes up after the team has received a hefty fine from the Nova Corp. This fine comes about due to the Guardians of the Galaxy Llama or Tech choice, which we also have a dedicated guide for.

With credits to pay, the gang devise a plan to sell Rocket or Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy to monster collector Lady Hellbender, and then break them out. This means you then have to make the Guardians of the Galaxy sell Rocket or Groot choice. You have two chances to choose, once in the Milano at the start of Chapter 3 and secondly at the end of the chapter, just before you cross the bridge to Lady Hellbender’s fortress.

In the Guardians of the Galaxy Rocket or Groot choice, choosing to sell Groot will earn you at least 9537 units from Lady Hellbender. As the last of his kind, Groot is an enticing sell for the monster collector, and if you let Drax deal with the negotiations, you can actually gain closer to 12,000 units. 

However, as you sneak your way through Lady Hellbender’s fortress, Groot is unable to lie about the plan, and the team are led into a trap. It is in this trap where you must fight the Dweller-In-Darkness. However, both picks in the Guardians of the Galaxy sell Rocket or Groot choice lead to this boss battle.

Picking Rocket in the Guardians of the Galaxy sell Rocket or Groot choice has the same eventual outcome, although the path there is slightly different. When offered to Lady Hellbender, the monster queen laughs at Rocket, who becomes aggravated. This eventually leads to a series of shootouts, and the team are eventually trapped in a room full of poison gas. After escaping you will come across 12,000 units and still face the Dweller-In-Darkness boss fight.

Neither of the Guardians of the Galaxy sell Rocket or Groot choices change the overall impact of the game outside of either sneaking or fighting your way through the fortress. Lady Hellbender will still be furious over your scam and chase you down for the majority of the game. In that case it is really down to personal preference, but it is also cute to see Rocket get all worried about Groot.
