Goat Simulator was frankly one of the most ridiculous games to ever be released, coming right in the middle of a wave of simulation games for the PC, and tearing up the genre by making fun of it in every way possible. Now Coffee Stain has returned to the franchise with Goat Simulator 3 (yes they missed number two apparently) and they plan to increase the chaos and stupidity even more. So read on for a breakdown of all we know about Goat Simulator 3

Goat Simulator 3 Release Date

The game currently only has a release window of Fall 2022, placing it somewhere in the final few months of the year.

Goat Simulator 3 Trailers

The game's reveal trailer came at Summer Game Fest 2022, making for one of the bigger surprises of the show. The trailer didn't show any gameplay, but it parodied the initial reveal trailer of Dead Island 2, showing an unnamed character running down a beachfront as goat-based chaos happened all around him. There were goats paragliding, goats with firework rockets strapped to their back, and goats joyriding with their head out the car window. All in all, it seems to be keeping the same tone and ridiculousness of the first game.

Goat Simulator 3 is set to have a four-player co-op, both local and online, but you can also go solo where players can explore a large open world sandbox full of quests, collectables, and secrets to discover. For those playing with friends, there are also several minigames to take part in.

The developers have tried to push the reactivity and chaos further this time, boasting that you can "toy with the universally recognised four elements (Fire, Electricity, Oil and Alien Goo), test the limits of the world’s physics and interact with suspicious objects for… surprising results." There's also a robust customisation system, with over 300 pieces of gear to pair together for unique looks. Some pieces also give the player special abilities that alter gameplay.

Goat Simulator 3 Platforms

The game is set to come to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Epic Games Store on PC.
