How To Collect A Vault Keycard Dropped By A Defeated Cold Blooded Boss In Fortnite

Collecting a Vault Keycard in Fortnite requires you to defeat a Cold Blooded boss in one of their spawn locations, so you can grab it from amongst the loot they drop. It's as simple as walking up to the keycard and just grabbing it when the prompt appears, but there are other factors like other players to consider.

The Cold Blooded bosses can be found in three locations around the map: Shattered Slabs, Faulty Splits, and Brutal Bastion. In these locations you should notice a series of enemies, one of which will be the boss, and a large vault nearby. 

These fights can be very tough, so you should ensure you're prepared fully before coming. We recommend stocking up on health, shields, and multiple powerful weapons, including something that has rapid-fire capabilities so you can quickly drain the bosses' shield. 

You'll mostly want to focus on the Cold Blooded boss, who has a shield and health bar above their heads but don't let their henchman overwhelm you either. You also need to remember that once you begin one of these fights, any nearby players may also swing by, so be ready to deal with them too. 

This is definitely made easier by sqaudding up, as you can delegate tasks amongst players, such as having one defeat the henchman while the others focus the boss.

Once you've defeated the boss and collected the Vault Keycard from their body, navigate toward the nearby Vault and gain access. Inside you will find a tonne of high-tier loot, including some exotic weapons like the unvaulted Boom Sniper. This will also help you finish one of the Most Wanted quests.
