If you're jumping into the new remake of Dead Space, then you might be wondering if it has a New Game Plus mode. The original Dead Space game was released in 2008 to much critical acclaim.

Now, it's getting a fully-fledged remaster from the team over at EA Motive. The question on everybody's lips is whether this reimagining of Dead Space will feature a New Game Plus mode. Keep reading to find out if it does.

Dead Space: Is There New Game Plus?

The short and simple answer is yes, Dead Space does feature a New Game Plus mode in the 2023 remake. Even though the original Dead Space game didn't have a New Game Plus mode for players to access, Motive has implemented one in its own rendition of the project.

This means that fans can play through Dead Space multiple times to unlock new weapons, defeat new enemies, and ultimately learn more about the story.

To unlock New Game Plus, players must first complete a full playthrough of the main story in Dead Space. This means completing every single chapter and rolling credits after the final boss battle.

Once this criterion has been met, players will be able to start a New Game Plus save file from the main menu. The game will start again from the beginning, but any resources, weapons, and upgrades that you've obtained in your first playthrough will be retained. Players will also unlock the level 6 suit, known as the Advanced Soldier RIG when they start a New Game Plus save file.

A few things to note about the New Game Plus implementation is that the carryover items are not available from the very start. Instead, you must collect them from the store once they reach one in the story. In addition, the Stasis and Kinesis abilities don't carry over into New Game Plus. They must be re-obtained at the usual spots in the story.

If you want to make the most of New Game Plus, keep an eye out for the new hidden resource known as Marker Fragments. There are 12 of them hidden throughout the world, and finding them all will unlock a secret ending to the game.

That's everything you need to know about New Game Plus in the Dead Space remake.
