Cult of the Lamb: Knucklebones Guide
If you've been playing Cult of the Lamb, then you'll likely have come across the Knuckebones mini-game during your playthrough. Cult of the Lamb is mostly an action game mixed with a life sim, but on the sheep's off-time, they'll play the Cult of the Lamb Knucklebones tabletop foray. It follows a great tradition of tabletop games within a great RPG like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Gwent, which has taken a life of its own. Here's how to play the Cult of the Lamb Knucklebones dice game.

Cult of the Lamb Knucklebones: How To Win
Click to enlargeThe aim of the Cult of the Lamb Knuklebones mini-game is to get the highest score against your opponent when all die in one side of three columns is filled. This will be challenging as your opponent can remove any die on your side if it places down the same number in the corresponding column.
From the image above, you can see that there is a blue column of three and a yellow couple of die. If you're able to stack two or three dice together, you'll gain more points. If it's yellow, you'll gain four times the original number, while blue will offer you nine times the original number. There's a risk in doing this, however, especially if you match three as if the enemy hits a four on the opposite of your pile of fours, the die on your side will disappear.
While playing Knucklebones, we recommend you diversify your die lineup, so you don't overly rely on one column section. If Ratau in the picture above was able to pull a four instead of a two for the left side, the board would remove 36 from our overall number. Thankfully, the two sixes in the middle will back us up with a solid 24 points.

Cult of the Lamb Knucklebones: Is It Worth Playing?
Click to enlargeWhen you successfully win against your opponents in Cult of the Lamb, you'll gain specific rewards that can help you on your cultish journey. They'll give you unique tarot cards that will help you in battle. For example, your first opponent Ratau will give you Hearts II, which provides an extra heart of health when equipped. That can be huge in a run of Cult of the Lamb. We wish we could get other rewards like recipes too, but no dice.
In addition, once you've beaten an opponent once, you can then bet your money against them. If you manage to succeed in Knucklebones every time, this is a great way to grind gold in Cult of the Lamb.
