A recent batch of leaks revealed what appears to be a new playable character— Apex Legends Ballistic. Ballistic is an interesting legend and one that's sure to spice up the Apex Legends meta in Season 16 or beyond. So, let's go over everything we know about Apex Legends Ballistic.

Apex Legends Ballistic: Release Date

Ballistic is set to be the next legend added to the Apex Legends roster. If Season 16 introduces a brand-new character like every new season typically does, expect to meet Ballistic on or around February 14, 2023.

However, rumour has it that Season 16 might be the first time Respawn Entertainment forgoes bringing in a new legend. If this is indeed true, Ballistic may not arrive until Season 17.

Ballistic is an Assault legend featuring purely offensive abilities. Below is a list of what Ballistic is capable of:

Passive: Weapon Sling

A sling where you can store a third weapon. Access via inventory. The sling weapon cannot take attachments.

Tactical: Smart Bullet

Shoots a projectile that debuffs the enemy. Enemy guns will start to heat up as they shoot. Overheating will cause a reaction and deal damage. Holding the Tactical will allow it to lock on to a target.

Ultimate: Weapon Enhancer

When activated, nearby teammates get a buff applied. It gives faster reload speed, unarmed move speed, and infinite ammo. Ballistic's sling weapon will be equipped and upgraded to Gold.

Apex Legends Ballistic: Lore

At a glance, Ballistic shares a striking resemblance with Kuben Blisk, the founder of the Apex Games. Blisk is a primary antagonist in the Titanfall series and a key player in the lore of Apex Legends. Leaks surrounding Blisk entering the Apex Games have been circulating for some time now too.

Though, the community is decisive about whether Ballistic and Blisk are the same individual. While these two characters do look alike, there are some differences in their appearances. Also, Blisk's rumoured abilities have leaked as well, and unless Blisk received some significant changes, their abilities are nothing alike.

If Ballistic isn't Kuben Blisk, who is he? Well, early speculation is that Ballistic may be an arms dealer for the Apex Games. As an arms dealer, there's a good chance that Ballistic is familiar with the current cast of legends and perhaps Blisk himself. With that, there's plenty of opportunity for Respawn Entertainment to build on Ballstic's character.
