The Call of Duty franchise has had quite the change up throughout 2022, with PvPvE being introduced for the first time through Warzone 2, as well as the Escape from Tarkov-inspired DMZ mode.

Despite insisting that DMZ is not an Escape from Tarkov comparison - and even demanding that streamers stop making the assumption on-stream - it's undeniable that the two titles overlap.

With the extraction-based games sharing many similarities, Call of Duty fans have now looked at Tarkov's newest rendition and identified one more feature that needs stealing.

Warzone 2 Players Want Devs To Steal Tarkov's Vendors

The newest feature that DMZ fans want nabbing is Vendors or Flea Markets. The idea is that once extraction is complete, players should be able to keep the money that they have earned and be able to plunder it to mod weapons and loadouts.

Instead of the leftover cash turning into XP, Reddit user "ShrimpConsumer" hypothesised that DMZ should have a Tarkov-like Vendor where attachments and weapon tuning can be bought for increasingly expensive sums.

This way, players would be rewarded for their progress in the extractions, rather than it being "pointless" like some have accused it of being.

DMZ Players Think Games Are Pointless Without Tarkov-Like Vendors

As DMZ was launched in a beta test, it's only natural that more features should be in development, and fans feel like Vendors would be the perfect addition to retain player attention.

"If they manage to add with time some of the features of Tarkov it might end up being a great game. Now it's just a bit pointless," one fan said.

Another added, "100%. I just got back to Tarkov as it wiped and the incentive to keep playing is so much better than DMZ." Calling out Infinity Ward, someone else said, "There are single-dev indie games with money systems. It's not a difficult thing to implement."

A fourth concluded, "This game is missing so much. I enjoy playing it, but I’ve heard a lot of people compare it to EFT, and that’s like comparing apples and oranges.

"Surviving DMZ gets you nothing but XP, so there feels like no real loss if you don't make it out. In EFT, when I finally find one of those 3 GPUs I need, I have a sheer iron will to survive and escape."

Other fans also eyed more objectives and a better way of playing solo, but for now, this Tarkov-esque feature seems to be at the top of the list for most players' New Year wishlists.
