Vanguard is so incredibly down bad with their rendition of a World War II shooter, it appears that the developers have now steered into their very messy skid. In a completely f-it manner, Sledgehammer Games and Activision has done away with any strings clinging on to realism and have now created their very own multiverse of madness.

After having four badass villains confirmed to be landing in Vanguard and Warzone for Season 5, fans have now realised that there is no such thing as a storyline in this era of Call of Duty.

Combined with outrageous new weapons for a 1945 setting, Vanguard Season 5 is now being dubbed as a "multiverse of madness".

Vanguard Season 5 Dubbed As 'Multiverse of Madness'

The arrival of Raul Menedez, Rorke, Al Asad, and Seraph into Vanguard has completely scrapped any Call of Duty canon.

Al Asad, Modern Warfare's Antagonist was born in 1963 and died to the M1911 of Captain Price in 2011. Seraph's Black Ops 4 operator wasn't born until 2027, and given that she appears to be in her 30s, or even older, would indicate that her character is coming from, approximately, 2050. So, how can two characters, born 64 years apart and depicted of a similar age, both feature in a game that was set 22 years before any of them were even born?

Well, that's Vanguard Season 5, and only Dr. Strange has that type of pull. With his time travelling abilities and cross-universe wielding, maybe that's the way all of these baddies have all come to conquer Caldera at the same time.

Call Of Duty Multiverse Of Madness Only Heightened By Season 5 Guns

It's not just operators that Dr Strange has plucked from the multiverse and spun into Vanguard. Having been leaked to be arriving in Season 5, the new trailer has confirmed that the EM1 from Advanced Warfare (or EX1 as it will be called in Vanguard) will be coming as an LMG.

The futuristic rifle is named EM after its Electro Magnetic energy ammunition, another crazy addition to the 1945 trenches.

The weapon will likely have been adapted somewhat to fire bullets rather than plasma (at least on the base gun, we all know how Activision like those tracer packs), although early images suggest it's still in the future.

At least Activision has acknowledged their timeline has been all over the show through the Vanguard era and instead has decided to just do whatever they want.
