A huge influx of female streamers have seen great success in 2021, whether it be the likes of Leslie "Fuslie" and Tina "TinaKitten" who both recently signed content creator contracts at 100 Thieves, Imane "Pokimane" Anys who remains the sixth most-followed account on the platform, or Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa taking full advantage of the 'hot tub craze'.

However, with a wealth of well-known streamers with tens of millions of fans shared between them, the most unlikely of content creators has come out on top for revenue earned in 2021, from Twitch subscriptions alone.

German DJ Anika "Sintica" F. has revolutionised how music can be perceived in a new online medium, having smashed over $900,000 from subscriptions on Twitch this year - making her the highest-paid female streamer on the platform.

Despite having just 230,000 followers (34 times fewer than Pokimane, whose follower count stands at an impressive 8 million), Sintica has racked up the highest number of annual subscriptions for the year, as per MRQ. The DJ has 250,000 subscribers annually - crazily higher than her follow count - across all tiers, as her audience attends live concerts and DJ sets live on Twitch. With such a chunky subscription count, MRQ estimates her annual earnings to be just shy of the one million dollar mark from subs alone.

Whilst the feat is extraordinary, Amouranth is still expected to be the female Twitch streamer who pulls in the most money from all mediums, per annum. Whilst she is second on the list for sub count revenue, her donations alone have her surpassing roughly $1million a month, according to Amouranth herself. Despite having her advertising suspended, donations and sub count still have the hot tub star showering in cash.

The statistics also leave Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter off the list, as the 100 Thieves co-owner is exclusive to YouTube. Recently, Valkyrae launched her own apparel line, which has been approximated to have broken the $1million mark after over 20,000 orders in the first day alone.

MRQ's findings are an approximation that Twitch takes 30% of the revenue generated by Twitch subscribers, pulling their figures from TwitchTracker, before calculating the approximated income.

Sintica's new model of Twitch concerts could be a recipe for success for streamers and music-makers in the future, especially with the success of Fortnite's in-game concerts that generated a mass craze from the mainstream music industry.
