Scarlet And Violet Trailer Hid Five Unannounced Pokemon
The Pokemon Company hasn't been sparing with the gameplay trailers for the new Pokemon games. Scarlet and Violet look to be a step in the right direction for the series, boasting an open-world adventure across a brand-new region that's peppered with new beasties to catch and train.
It's what fans have wanted from the series ever since it debuted on the Game Boy, and The Pokemon Company seems to be doing everything in its power to ensure you know that it's finally happening. Now, a new teaser seems to have given us a bigger peek at some of the Pokemon waiting for us in-game than it was supposed to
The Latest Pokemon Teaser Shows Off Five New Pokemon
While the teaser for Pokemon Scarlet ane Violet revealed new Pokemon and explorable areas alike, it accidentally showcased a handful of Pokemon that we think it probably wasn't supposed to. The pictures are blurry, so bear with us on this one.
During a gameplay portion of the teaser, a minimap appeared in the corner to give the player hints on where to go and what is in their surroundings. It also featured sprites of Pokemon that seem to be around the player, and they're definitely ones that we've never seen before.
Though they stack on each other and can be quite hard to tell apart, we can see a couple of mouse-like Pokemon, as well as a bird, and a… marshmallow? With a brick in its head? We can't quite tell, so we'll leave it to you to interpret.
New Pokemon Reveals New Girafarig Evolution
Eagle-eyed players spotted a tiny 'Mon next to a Torkoal in the Starfall Street section. Even though it's only a guess, most think it's a pre-evolution for Armarouge and Ceruledge. Finally, there's a blurry creature behind trainers taking a selfie, but your guess is as good as ours on that one. These Pokemon reveals might not have been intentional, but there is one reveal that The Pokemon Company definitely intended to - the new evolution for classic Pokemon Girafarig.
The new Pokemon is called Farigiraf, and basically looks like a taller Girafarig in a BAPE hoodie. We'll allow it because it looks dead cute. The new Pokemon games clearly have a lot up their sleeves, and we can't wait to see what's in store for us. And we need to know the name of this bunny Pokemon. The wait might kill us, to be honest.
