Pokemon fans aren't exactly suffering from a lack of content, what with Pokemon Scarlet & Violet only releasing late last year, but that doesn't mean that they're not feeling the pressure of Nintendo's failures to capitalise on their legacy games.

Even though February 8's Nintendo Direct brought Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games to the Switch, that doesn't mean the gaming giant isn't drastically falling behind on making ira classics legally playable.

This is a massive shame, what with Nintendo being behind some of the most important video games in the medium's history, and fans are feeling it. Thankfully, they reckon that they've got an idea that could make Nintendo some serious bank.

Pokemon Fans Want Classic Games On Mobile

Some Pokeplayers have suggested that Nintendo could resolve its conundrum of bringing classic games to modern players, simply by adding them straight to mobile.

Fans have been discussing the idea on a Reddit post that lays to the idea. "The Game Boy Pokemon games would be perfect on mobile," reads the post. "They don't need fast responses like Zelda or Mario games so it wouldn't feel weird with virtual buttons.

"They could release all the games from Red & Blue to Emerald over a period of time, let's say 3 months between drops so people would have time to finish the games between drops and the hype lives on longer.

"If they sold them for like $15-$20, they would sell like hot cakes, especially among millennials. They could even make money on an exclusive deal like how they did on Super Mario Run with Apple."

Fans React To Call For Pokemon On Mobile

Others have rallied in the comment section, pointing out how strong this idea is, but also airing their frustrations with the fact Nintendo is lacking in the legacy game department.

"Nintendo is a dinosaur," says one comment. "They tend to modernize only when dragged, kicking and screaming, into the current year. They'll get around to it but it'll be a while."

"Imagine how much money they'd make off of the Chinese market alone by doing that?" reads another. "I understand the mobile gaming lifestyle is strong over there." To be honest, the incredible popularity of the franchise means it'd be pretty strong elsewhere.

The potential for Pokemon remains impossibly strong, and yet, Nintendo isn't likely to do anything about it. Come on, Professor Oak, let us give you our money.
