Pokemon Legends: Arceus Is Getting Its Own Anime Series
A lot of people owe their Pokemon fandom to its tie-in anime, which became a cultural phenomenon all by itself. Once it debuted after the launch of the games, the anime brought not only the Pokemon themselves, but the cartoon art form to homes across the world.
Back in the day, the Pokemon anime and Ash's adventures became a massive part of Saturday mornings everywhere. The anime franchise has been going strong ever since, adopting new subtitles, companions, and regions along the way. Now, a new short series is coming and will commemorate the most recent game in the franchise.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus Is Getting Three Anime Specials
The Pokemon Company has revealed that Pokemon Legends: Arceus is getting its own short anime series. The show is called Hisuian Snow, and it follows young Alex who befriends a Hisuian Zorua, all while the era sees Pokemon as little more than wild animals.
So basically, it sounds like Hisuian Snow is going to be Pokemon meets How To Train Your Dragon. The series will run for only three episodes, but at least that indicates it's not a show that's going to outstay its welcome.
Hisuian Snow is in the works from Wit Studio, which you might recognise as the animation team that created the first three seasons of Attack on Titan. For those that feel we've not had enough of Hisui - and are bored of waiting for a mythical Arceus DLC - it's a great way to pass the time.
How Do You Watch The Pokemon Legends: Arceus Anime?
According to the press release revealed by The Pokemon Company, the first episode of Hisuian Snow will be coming on May 18. It will air on Pokemon TV and the official Pokemon YouTube channel. Even though it looks to be a pretty low-key release, there's no doubt that the show is barrelling towards a cult-classic treatment from fans.
The show could yet be an absolute favourite among fans, and we can't wait to see it. Any Pokemon anime is a good thing, and we're ready to get obsessed all over again. Maybe now, we'll get to fill in some of the gaps in the story about how Feudal Sinnoh evolved into the modern version from Diamond and Pearl.
