Modern Warfare 2 Beta Skin Praised For Being Better Than Anything In Vanguard
The era of Vanguard is nearly closed, and the Call of Duty community can breathe a sigh of relief. Even though the game did meander into being a somewhat bearable instalment of the franchise, few will miss loading into a lobby with Snoop Dog, naked Titans, World War 2 veterans, and futuristic super villains all wielding guns from 50 years into the future while darting around the 1950s trenches. It was a headache.
Now, Modern Warfare 2 is on the horizon and a more streamlined approach to life in Call of Duty will likely embark, and fans are already excited.
Stripping the skin and customisations back to basics, Infinity Ward has promised a much more rational approach to crossovers and bundles, and their first exclusive skin is already being applauded.
Modern Warfare 2 Beta Rewards Revealed
Ahead of the Call of Duty: Next showcase, Infinity Ward has revealed that players who load into the Modern Warfare 2 beta will be given the opportunity to earn exclusive "I was here" rewards.
The rewards will include emblems, charms, player cards, stickers, vinyls, vehicle skins, two blueprints named Side Impact (SMG) and Frontal Impact (Assault Rifle, presumably for the SCAR), and an operator skin named "Collision".
All of the Modern Warfare 2 beta rewards will be tailored towards the emerald green colour palette of the series and fans are already loving them.
Modern Warfare 2 Designer Marvels In Fan Reaction To Beta rewards
Having seen the rewards be revealed, fans have instantly taken a liking to the operator skin specifically, claiming that it's better than anything released during the Vanguard era. "All the beta rewards honestly look really good, I can't wait," one fan said on Reddit. Another added, "Already better than Vanguard skins to be honest".
Infinity Ward's Associate Render Artist, "Luke", has now taken to Twitter following the positive messages to add more hope to the fans wishes. "If you think this skin is cool you havenāt seen s**t yet," he claimed.
It certainly looks like we're in for a good range of skins, and if the developers can persist in keeping these kinds of tweaks to their skins, we could be on for two incredible years of Call of Duty aesthetics.
